We had been looking for a house in Florida for several months. We had been looking in the new port richey area until my wife found Mira Bay in Apollo Beach. She called Melissa with less than 2 days notice that we were coming and asked her if she could show some houses for us when we got there.

Melissa pulled a bunch of strings and with a very long list of the demands of the features the house had to have, she was able to fanagle a bunch of houses to show us.

As we went through the first couple of houses, she was able to understand the importance of our must have list and my disabilities and was able to tailor the search to those needs. She was able to show us a very diverse variety of homes with almost no notice and even that day, she was able to arrange other houses that were not on the original list to meet some of our requirements.

Though we had taken her away from some of her other responsibilities, having come down on such short notice, she remained very attentive and focused on us. She never made us feel rushed or less important than some guaranteed sales.

We left with some ideas and a good selection of homes and went back to Illinois to try to narrow it down. She was very accommodating and went back over the homes and her and Gunner even did a Skype showing for us to see a couple of the homes again.

Melissa stayed very active with the financing process and immediately took care of things to help us with the information that our lender needed and even spoke with our lender and personally answered questions and provided stuff directly to our lender for us so things could move even quicker than us trying to get it and the extra time it would have taken to get it all to our lender.

After she helped us purchase our perfect dream home, there were things that we needed to get taken care of like lawn care, utilities, hoa stuff, and cddstuff. She helped us get all of these things taken care of and her support after the sale was phenomenal.

Usually after the sale, the sales person couldn't care less about what happens. My friends and I could tell you some stories about how horrible it was to get service after the sale. But not with Melissa and Gunner. They believe in service after the sale. I can call her with questions any time and have my answer within 24 hours but usually within a couple of hours.

I would highly recommend Melissa and Gunner for anything you need in this area. Their expertise and experience with the communities in this area is invaluable. My primary point of contact was Melissa. We listed our former primary residence for sale in Apollo Beach in the August 2016 timeframe and was under contract in just about 5 months. The initial listing price might have been a little ambitious so we collaborated on adjusting the listing price a few times during the course of the sale to garner more interest. We used Melissa Davis as our Realtor beginning in March/April 2016. At first, Melissa was very friendly and supportive and took us to several properties we were interested in purchasing. We then inquired about how the process would actually work and we learned we needed to sell our home and then purchase a new home.

We listed our home around April 2016. We agreed to list our home a little high for the neighborhood, but not what I thought was too high. Our home was on the market for about 30 days and we received a few showings, but no offers.

Melissa then contacted us and began the process of wanting us to lower our price. I explained in order for us to afford to move, we needed to sell close to $215,000. Melissa didn't seem very interested in selling the house once I explained I wanted to sell the home close to $215,000. She didn't push us to host an open house or even to have a sign in our front yard. Some of this could be my own fault, but if you are really interested in selling a home, one would think that you are going to convince the owner to cooperate.

A few times Melissa contacted me and requested to schedule our home for a viewing. We would leave our home, but when we returned, it didn't seem like anyone had been in the home. Due to this, I did a "stake out" when our last showing was scheduled. No one ever showed up during the 1 hour time frame that Melissa had scheduled the showing.

When we tried to fire her, we learned there was a $2,000 buyout, so we were stuck with her until our listing expired. The $2,000 buyout was my own mistake, as I totally missed it in the contract when I signed it. I won't make that mistake again.

It just appears to me that Melissa took our business in the hope of an easy sale. When things got difficult, she didn't push our listing and we were stuck with a home that didn't sell. Christopher McMurtry

I found out about Melissa and Gunner through a friend and calling them was the best decision ever. Within a few days of telling them I was looking for a house, I was taking tours of houses that fit the decription of what I wanted. Each trip out, I was looking in at least three houses, all of which were in the area that I wanted to live. They didn't take me to houses that fit my description, but were not in the designated area, they stuck with exactly what and where I was looking for.

When I finally found something that I liked, they started the paperwork that night and brought it to me the next day to sign. Melissa and Gunner suggested a good home inspector and termite inspection company and Gunner was even there the whole time the inspection was happening. When it came time for the final walk through the morning of the signing, the people I was buying from started giving me a little trouble about being out at the designated time saying, "we'll need a couple extra hours." I looked at Melissa and she said "I'll take care of it" and the next thing I know, the sellers realtor was down at the house helping his clients pack.
